I took the aluminum storm window off the inside of a mobile home door for an elderly friend. The mitered corners came apart. All that ever held the corners together is some kind of a glue or bonding spread across the the mitered edges.
I'm just wondering if anyone knows what type of glue or bonding might have been used. This mobile home is a 1965 model, and I've been familiar with this unit since then, so I know it is the original storm window. This bonding has held it together for 44 years! I sure would like to find ANYTHING that would hold this long. Any ideas????

I like JB Weld. My second choice would be PL 400 or Liquid Nails.

Pulpo,
Thanks,
I was thinking JB weld also, and will probably use it.
I just couldn't remember what they could've used that far back that held so well all these years. I don't remember JB weld being around then.

I don't remember JB Weld then eiether. It would take me awhile to think of what they might have used at that time.

A machine screw in each corner, into the channel supports or webbing. Or a countersunk wood screw. Be safe, G
