Hey guys,
I had a brand new asphalt driveway poured last fall. It is still nice and black right now, but I am curious if I should leave it alone and let it slowly fade to grey or if there is something that I can do to protect it and allow it to keep its colour?
Is the black asphalt sealer a good idea or not?
Should it be done now or later?
Any other tips or ideas?
Thanks for the help
Jason

I just had an asphalt driveway done, and the guy told me to wait a year, and then brush on an asphalt sealer but not to put it on too thick. Then it shouldn't need another coat of sealer for another 5 years. Interested to hear what others have to say on this subject.

Thanks for your input.
Do you plan on doing that?
Can anyone else verify if this would be a good step to take to ensure a good base for the long term :)
