My 2000 Tracker 16 Pro Deep V needs a trailering bracket with a bend because the trailer framing does not extend to the transom. Tracker does not list one for this model. If I don't raise the engine, the skeg hits the pavement. The Merc owners manual says don't raise the engine for towing unless you have a brace.

Does anyone make such a device? I saw one in Overtons, but the internet reviews were awful.

Thanks for any help.

If this is the one your looking at it is just fine. The strap is just to help hold it in place once the motor is tilted down on it the pressure is what holds it in place. If the strap does break replace it with a bungee cord. We sell them at our dealer and I have never had a problem with them.

I don't know what happened, but the image you posted was deleted. Is there another way to do this. You have been most helpful Samarai.

I am retired from IBM and what I know about computers you could put in a very small space.

I'm sure you still know more than I ever will.

As for the transome saver this one is the only one that I've seen with a bend in it. Granted it isn't as strong as a straight one it does the job. I've even seen these on the verado's.

I appreciate the hard work that contributors on this board deliver. It's not like anyone is getting rich. I ordered the transom bar today.
