I have a 10-12 year old Kinetico 60 water softener system. I have never had a problem with it. About 3-4 days ago I filled my tank with salt as usual. I realized I was not getting any softened water so I manually regenerated system. All seemed fine. My husband regenerated a second time 24 hours later and since then the system has been running continuously. What do I need to do to stop the system and get back to normal?

Try manually going through the cycles. When you get near the end let it go to see if it stops by itself. The backwashing meter may be stuck open or clogged.
