Hello:
I am installing a bathroom faucet but I do not want to use the drain plug. There is a lift rod in the middle of the faucet that I want to cover with a brushed nickel plug button (approx 1/4 of an inch). Where can I find a store that would have this? thanks,

I'm going to move this over to plumbing; I think the plumbers will know. Just a layman's opinion, but I think that's going to be a hard "find". Many faucets can be bought with or without the popup. You might consider checking to see if your model is available without. Let's see what the pro's say.

Generally a faucet design is available in two versions. The one you have has the pop up and the rod assembly. That same faucet may be available without the pop up and with either a plug in the hole or no hole at all.It would be much better to see if you can exchange faucets. If that version does have a plugged hole the plug was put in by machine not by hand and the piece won't likely be available separately.
As for a plug to convert your faucet, your best hope is a plumbing supply that sells to the public or similar.Basically you're going to have to improvise and try and find something that will work as there will not be a specific item for your purpose. There isn't a standardized size etc and you'll just have to see if there is something in the finish you want that will work. It's doubtful a hardware store will have anything but a business that sells plumbing especially hard to find parts etc may help you.
