Does anyone have experience with this product (pro's and con's)for waterproofing shower floor and walls as a prep for tiling? Is this as good and less expensive alternative to the Schluter system?
Thanks, JoeP

Both systems, Hydro-ban and Schluter, are excellent.

I would look over the installation instructions for both, and see which one you would be more comfortable in doing:

Looks like Schluters website (www.schluter.com) is not working for me, but the instructions for the Kerdi and drain are on there.

The only con I know of Hydro-ban is getting the proper thickness, in which you need a wet film gauge for.
