Odor from AC vents only when AC is on. Smells like decomp. Have inspected vents they are sealed and clear. Smells are only present when AC is on. Have sprayed air exchange coils with Micron Diseffectant and sprayed duct work.

What could have caused this? How do I prevents this from happening again next year?

I would 1st clean the coils, pan and drain line with a good coil cleaner. Then treat them with something like BBJ. Let BBJ set in them for twenty minutes then turn system back on.
