I just started framing my place and have placed fire blocks in the between the studs at 48 inches high all long exterior walls, but am wondering do i have to do the same for interior walls?

Don't need them in middle of wall unless it's next to a closed soffit or chase or roof/attic.

What GBR said. Check local code, they always have the final say.
Fires are rare. If there is blocking, it will slow the progress of the fire. If not required by code, might still be a good idea to add them. Con: makes adding/changing wiring a nightmare.
