My wife's 1999 Yamaha Virago 250 will start and idle ok but then dies when she gives it gas. I had new jets installed in the carburator last year at turn one motor sports so I tend to rule them out. Can anyone help me figure out why this is happening?

Your circuits off idle and up are likely plugged. Since it will idle, the first thing I would try would be Sea Foam in the gas.
You can get it from an auto parts store. If varnish or fuel residue is the problem (and it often is), the Sea Foam will clean it up quickly.
