We are currently having engineered hardwoods installed throughout our first floor. We live in Houston and as many people who live in Houston, we have some slab moisture issues. After over 1 year of talking to contractors and research, we finally settled on Bostik's MVP with one of their recommended glues (BST or BEST) and engineered hardwoods. They started last week and today finished the floating and put down the MVP. ~1,500 square feet and they went through 65 bags of float. Seems like a lot to me but I'm not complaining as long as it's level and done right. However, I do have some questions as follows:

1. How long after the float is poured should they wait before putting down the MVP? They are using Fritz Poz-Patch I. I know that it dries rather quickly but some float was put down 3 hours before they put down the MVP. Is this okay?

2. Is it okay for them to milk the float before putting down the MVP?

3. How long after they put down the MVP before it is safe to walk on it? I know it says cure time is 12-16 hours but is it okay to walk on it with socks or barefeet just to get to our bedrooms at some point sooner than 12-16 hours?

4. As I mentioned above, we have had issues with moisture in our slab. In most areas, the float hardened and looked great. However, in a few areas, it was clear that there was moisture from the slab coming up through the float. The float was slightly discolored in circles and you could feel that those areas were cooler than the other areas (b/c of some moisture). However, there was no cracking in the float and the float still appeared to be hard. Is it okay to put down the MVP over these moisture "hotspots"? I know that's what the MVP is for but just wondering if it will adhere properly if the float is not at least initially dry?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. The installers appear to be doing a great job and they are telling me everything is fine but I'm a chronic worrier.
