We're planning a budget bathroom remodel. I have a full-length vanity and countertop in decent shape so I want to keep them. The current sink is mounted with clamps from beneath and the faucets are sink mounted. I want to replace the old sink with a drop-in, self-levelling model because I prefer the appearance. The cutout hole in the vanity is round and 16.5 inches in diameter. My question is how do I size the new sink to fit this hole? I'm not familiar with the flange sizes. I've looked over the stock at Home Depot and Lowe's and the boxes usually make no mention of the cutout size required.
