My bedroom toilet is leaking into the ceiling below. I cut out the drywall and noticed a very small, clear water leak coming down the pvc drain pipe connected to the toilet. The supply line is dry and seems OK. Does this sound like a wax ring replacement deal?

Also, if the leak is coming from the pvc drain, why is it "clear" and not discolored with the waste, etc??

I am fairly handy, but plumbing is not my cup of team. Thanks in advance to all replying.

Yes sounds like the wax ring is not sealing well

Pour some blue or red Gatorade in the toilet. See if it's the same color in the wall below.
