Hi, I have a Kenmore canister vacuum that is about 1.5 yrs old. I got new carpet last summer and it has been a nightmare as it is repeatedly clogging the vacuum with all the tiny fibers that come up. I already figured out that I clearly bought the wrong kind of carpet and that it will continue to lose fiber for a while yet, but I am stuck with this carpet and am sick of my vacuum continuing to clog up.

I already took it back and got the hose replaced once but now am no longer under warranty. What is the easiest way to clear the hose? I have tried a coat hanger but it only goes so far and I am afraid of puncturing the hose. I saw in another post to use a broom handle but the hose is not straight at the top and bottom where the attachments go on, so I need a more flexible solution.

TIA for any help or ideas!
