I'm wondering if anybody knows what pitch this motor takes and i have found out that the prop size varies from 7'-10'. how do i know what prop to get, there is no #'s on the prop itself, and i would like to get more speed out of this ol girl if i can

You can measure the diameter of the prop, but I'm not sure how to measure the pitch.
Do you know where your rpm is now, this has a big factor on prop selection. If it's over pitched it will bog and be slow or if it's under pitched it will rev to the moon.
