I just bought a home and have decided to upgrade the faucets and light fixtures. I love the bronze look and definitely want to do that in my master bathroom, but it is very expensive. What I am wondering is if I do bronze in one bathroom if it would be in poor taste to do brushed nickel in the other bathrooms - I have a second bath on the top floor, a half bath on the main floor, and a bath in the basement. I am doing stainless steel faucets in the kitchen to go with the appliances and the bath on the main floor is right off the kitchen. Seems like the fixtures in that bathroom should coordinate with the kitchen... or should they match the bathroom(s) upstairs?
Am I just being overly anal thinking it has to match throughout the house?

Thanks!

Unless you use both bathrooms at the same time, there is no need for matching fixtures. Make each room / area distinctive. Matching is fine at motel 6 but your home should reflect your tastes.
