Hi All,

I recently had new kitchen cabinets installed. However, to cover the gap between the top of the cabinet and the overhanging soffit, the installer had to use trim which I am now thinking was too thick - about 1/4" I think. The sidewalls of the cabinets pretty much line up perfectly with the soffit ends so I am thinking about switching to a thinner trim so that the trim sticks out much less.
So here is my question - Is there available any type of trim, maybe vinyl or something thin like that, which I can install either by gluing or with brads and which might possibly come in the color of my cabinets - sort of a taffy color.

Thanks

The trim he used is most likely "scribe" molding supplied by the cabinet manufacturer.

Even if you find a molding that is thinner, you will probably have to stain it yourself. Sherwin Williams is pretty good at matching stains or you may be able to get a pint of stain directly from the manufacturer.

Check on line for Outwater Plastics. Thye have catalogues full of moldings, vinyl extrusions and other items that you may want to consider and the nice part is you wont have to leave your home. If you ask, they often will send a sample.
