I am trying to figure out how to remove the door knocker with viewer? It needs to be cleaned badly and I took one screw out and it did move but I don't understand how to remove the viewer. I'm getting into the "do it yourslef" thing and this site has been very helpful.

Most of those type knockers have a screw for the bottom, then you normally have to unscrew the viewer itself. Do you see 2 slots on the inside of the peephole, directly across from each other? You may need something wider than a screwdriver to unscrew it, I've used a metal combo square and a metal ruler in the past.

Thanks so much. I'm going to try and unscrew the viewer. I thought that is what I was suppose to do but thought it would be better if I asked. Thanks again
