I have seen on the energystar website that in order to qualify for the 2009-2010 tax credit that prior to June 1 all that is needed is an energystar rating but after that the UC has to be .30 and the SHGC has to be .30 or less, so I go to a known national supplier of home products just to see if these products cost more than others and the guy in the door/window department says that the UC and SHGA requirements were just replaced within a week ago with the requirement that all you need is the energystar rating because the other ratings mainly apply to cooling for the south and don't necessarily apply for the North. I called Energy star and they still say the UC and SHGC requirement is still in place for after June 1. Has anybody heard differently?
