Blinds, Shades and Shutters - eyebrow arch windows

I have 2 windows that are eybrow shaped that I need to cover to eliminate sun damage. They are approx. 9 ft. long with a gradual 2 ft. rise to the center. So, they are not the standard 1/2 moon arch. What kind of hardware could I put into these openings? I considered a sheer fabric gathering, but have had not luck w/decorators or window covering specialists. Is this so unusual that it can't be done?
Pls. advise if anyone has had this done and what was used as hardware and/or fabric treatment. Thanks.

DAWN: Look up Christopher Lowells's website (you know, the decorator?) I think you can get him on the Discovery.com site too - not sure. Anyway, he's ALWAYS doing things with fabric, swags, window treatments, etc. Good luck.

Hi dawn, you can get a film that is put on the glass from the inside it is stuck on and it reduces the harmful uv rays that damage and fade furiture, it comes in many tints as well as clear, go to your local glass company for more details Im sure they will help, I am in the glass buisness in europe and that is what we do here, its not that exspensive to have done, then at least whatever you chose to put up inside your windows ie curtains and the like will also not fade, laminated glass is anti uv as the sheet of plastic that runs between the pane cuts down the uv penetraiting but this is an exspensive job because you would have to replace the glass in the windows, but it is also a safty glass, if you want more details you can contact me at garnier@localdial.com
