I purchased a 32in digital ready hd widescreen panasonic tv.
I haven't even had it a year and the tv just turned itself off.
The power button went off and then about 2 seconds later the power light would come on but go off for about 3 seconds and then come back on. The repair tech who came to my house took the back off and tested a couple of devices inside and sad the firmware for the picture is shot. Isn't that a bit odd? The tech told me that with the flat screen tv they use firm ware to run it.

The model # is tc-32lx85. I have sent an email to Panasonic but I probably will not get an answer. Thank you for your help.
The repair tech said this is not unusual. I don't believe that.
Thank you

As its under a year old, is it still in warranty?
Panasonic flatpanel TV's are highly regarded, so I'd disagree with your tech that its a common thing.

Thanks for all of your help. I am hoping to have my tv back tomorrow. The repair tech said that when they get the part and then test everything else to make sure it is ok.
