I'm replacing the rotted wood railings on my front porch with CrossTimber composites.

My problem is, what should I use to wrap the posts?
I have 4 4x4 posts 40" tall and 3 4x4 posts 8' tall. I want to build these out to 8x8 (for asthetics) and wrap them in a low/no maintenance solution.

Sleeves are out since I can't exactly rip the roof off the porch to slide them down the 8 footers.

I thought about vinyl coil wrap but I can only find it in 24" width which isn't enough to go around the posts.

I looked at using 5/4 x 8" composite but the cost is incredibly high.

I'm also looking at adjustable snap together solutions made by CertainTeed and fairway vinyl. These are OK, I just wonder how they'll contrast with the finish of the railings in a few years.

Any ideas? :wall:
