I have a corded phone in my home office. Since I moved into my house, (in 2000) I have heard some type of radio station over the corded phone.

As I am now working more from my home office, it has gone from a mild annoyance to a major disruption.

The house (built 1953) has only one phone jack. I have used a splitter jack (I think that is what it is) to bring a line into the office. To do this I have used about 25 feet of regular phone cable.

I really don't want to have to crawl under the house to install actual phone lines. Not to mention I am not sure how to properly do this.

I only have this problem on the corded phone while using the handset. When I put it on speaker phone, I do not hear the interference. I recently replaced the phoneset but the problem continues.

Any suggestions.

Get a phone line RFI filter.

I hate to show my total ignorance, but what is that? And where would I get one?
