I have a gas hot water heater....we have been having a smell in the hot water.....I have been told that it may be the Anode Rod...we have a magnesium rod in now...would like to know so I can solve the problem:confused:

usually if the smell wasnt there before the anode rod off gasing is a good bet.
you should be able to find an aluminum anode rod. they are a little more expensive but last longer and do a better job

wow. that would be really really fast for an anode to go bad. are you on a well or city water?
