I have a double oven, maytag MGR6775ADW and the top oven door handle has stripped off the screws.
Has anyone tried gluing tese so that you don't have to buy a new handle.
Would silicone, loctite, super glue work. The handle is plastic and the screw is a metal self tapper.
i also contemplated a bigger screw, but I am worried that it may split the plastic. any help would be appreciated.

Some type of super glue, but check to be sure it's ok around high temps, especially if yours is a self cleaner. Be aware that if you super glue it, you'll prpbably never be able to remove the handle without destroying it. Maybe you could try filling the hole with some shards of plastic to give the screw something to bite on. I agree with you about a larger screw. A new handle is like $33 which is nuts for piece of plastic.
