My fiance and I will be married in less than two weeks (crazy!) We're both still in college, so we're forced to go the rental route with housing. The biggest problem is, with it being a college town the rental properties here are terrible. There aren't a lot of options to make it look better (can't paint, can't replace flooring, pretty much can't do anything) but I want to make the apartment something she will not hate being in. That being said, we're looking at covering the current kitchen floor with vinyl flooring, but I wanted to see how possible this would be. The current flooring is very thin laminate, but it is level and well maintained, albeit extremely ugly. So my question is, would we be able to use something similar to Novalis to cover the current flooring, knowing that we will have to remove it when we leave? Or is there a better alternative, or, hopefully not, is it just not something we can do?

Thanks!

I checked the Novalis website and it appears that their flooring needs to be adhered to the substrate. That means it's permanent. You can find a number of products that can be used as floating or loose laid floors. Too many to list. But it can be done.
