Please don't think I am a bad neighbor but I have a neighbor with a fence between our homes. Every day he gets his blower out and blows all the leaves, dirt, rocks on my property. Can someone tell me what I can use to fill in the gap under the fence so this stops. I have tried a few bricks in the larger spaces but he just pushes them back on my property. Help and thank you. Hi Cin,
My question would be, have you tried talking to this neighbor? I don't think you are a bad neighbor at all. It sounds like the person on the other side of the fence is though. I'm sure the bricks made them aware it's a problem for you.
If this is a wood fence you will need to use something solid such as another piece of wood to block off the area flush to the ground. For example, if your fence is made with planks, take individual planks and attach them horizontally to the base of your fence so they touch the ground. You may even have to dig a bit of a trench to sink them into the ground. They will need to be nailed to the posts or you can pound stakes into the ground and attach them to those stakes. It might not be the prettiest sight, but you could always plant something such as dwarf mondo grass to hide the horizontal planks.
