I have an old LG Goldeneye TV (Model No. CF-21K44ET), and the sound has gone away. At first, you could hear a soft twittering sound coming from the TV if you listened closely. I then turned the TV off and disconnected the power, then turned it back on, and it was completely silent. Later, the sound returned after turning the TV on.

I have also tried to get around the problem by connecting speakers to the TV to see if perhaps it was just a problem with the TV's internal speakers. The external speakers I attached also didn't work.

Any help in identifying the problem and fixing it would be much appreciated.

It maybe the sound discrinator coil going bad.Somtimes they just change values and you could readjust it so the sound comes back.Easiest way to find it would be to take the back off of the set, turn it on and volume all the way up,then use chill spray and spray it on all the small ,about 1/2 " square silver boxes. When you hit one and the sound comes back for a second then that would be the one to try to readjust.
