I'm replacing my aluminum windows in my brick veneer home. What is the best way to get them out.

Your windows probably have nailing fins so you will have to remove them by removing the sash(s) which should be easy enough. The next step is a lot more difficult. You will want to cut the side and top and bottom frames in half creating 8 separate pieces and then pry them out and away from the framing, quite literally tearing the fins off the nails. It wont be easy but it is effective. you will be left with a stud opening.

What are you installing??? Sometimes I will leave the old frame in place and buck the new windows against the old frame. You can't install new windows with a nailing fin, so why not use the old frame.
