HI, my concrete veranda is all pitted (age and use of salt in winter). I was wondering what the best prep products were to refinish the top of it were - a sealer or a new layer of concrete?
And has anyone worked with slate for walkways - is it better than concrete?

slate looks nicer, and in your case, would be adhered to your concrete. it's a perfect application, really...
provided that your finished porch floor won't be higher than your interior floor, that is.
there are a number of ways to resurface old concrete, from 1/8" thick overlays, to thicker stamped overlays, to brick pavers set in mortar.
