I bought an old teak deck chair athe recycling depot (cheap) it has been painted, but I was sure it was teak underneath all the paint. It is..is it best to sand it, or can I use some kind of stripper to make the job easier...It is an older design with a sliding seat for sitting either upright or reclining ( no foot rest, though) I would appreciate some advice about restoring it back to teak....I think the paint on it is a latex type...and I do have teak cleaner and conditioner left over from my sailing days, and lots of teak oil on hnad...but I want to remove the paint...thank you Katie
