Hi there,
I've got my installer code for my Vista 15. My keypad is the Ademco k4392v2 m6983. I presume that is not a two line because I'm having such a hard time figuring out how change my Zone 02 from being a perimeter to the second exit/entrance by looking at the installer manual. Does anyone know the sequence once I get into the *56 programming mode?

The installer manual might help: http://www.systecalarm.com.br/manuais/novo/Vista15.pdf
(I know you have it, but it's for others with the same system)
As always I'll say that trying to do this without the alpha keypad is _hard_. All you can do is write out your steps from the *56 instructions, step by step, and follow them exactly.
There's no magic trick; that's the only way to pull this off, because you have no prompts, and if you mess up, you have no way to check yourself.
The only area where you will do anything other than press * to accept the existing setting is the zone type entry. Since this is a hardwired zone, it will automatically skip past the stuff for wireless transmitters and go directly to the prompt for alpha descriptors. You answer 0* for no then enter 00 to get out of *56 mode.
If you get stuck or lost, don't flail around blindly. As soon as you realize that you are in the wrong prompt, simply power down, restart, adjust your script and try again.
The _easy_ way to do this is to find someone who has a system with a alpha keypad who will let you borrow it for a couple of hours.
