I am still looking for a product to clean my deck. I have got some cleaning solution from the local hardware store but am very disappointed with it. Just using my pressure washer did as good. Any suggestions?

When we had a deck I liked Wolman's:

DeckBrite Wood Deck Cleaner (http://www.wolman.com/product_detail.asp?ProductID=3)

Did you use the correct product according to the directions?
What are you needing to clean off of the deck?

Here in the S.E. mildew is the main problem so I usually just use bleach [mixed 50/50 with water. I'll wet the deck and then spray on the bleach/water solution with a pump up garden sprayer, let it set but not dry and then rinse with the PWer. Stubborn spots can be taken care of with a 2nd application and/or maybe a little scrubbing.

almost forgot:(

Hi,

I am also looking for a deck cleaner. I have a composite deck (moved to our first home a few months ago) and on advise of a friend nearly bought a pressure washer to clean it (1800 psi 1.4 gpm). However, after reading the posts here, I realized that pressure washing the deck is not really a good idea.

Our deck has mildew and mold (pollen is clearly visble).
Any suggestion on which deck cleaner is best for composite decks? One I found is "Expert Chemical Composite Deck Cleaner and Enhancer" (local Home depot).

Thanks

Well, if you look at the label you'll find the active ingredient is Sodium Hypochlorite - common bleach - so $18 for a gallon of bleach sounds pretty expensive. :coffee:
