I was told I need a 10 inch flue and a steel boxed chimney(instead of a brick/mortar one) for my gas fired boiler. Does anyone know what this should cost if I have someone do the work for me?

Whats there now?

I would get three prices on a metal chimney and a brick or insulated block chimney.

On a side not the "10" is in round. A 8x8 Id clay flue is the standard for most all heat plants. Especially the low flue gass new heat plants puts out in modern tech heat plants.

What goes around the metal chimney to rise the cost. Block or brick is a long term good looking chimney

Personally i hate metal chimneys. Wait until the millions eventually rust out...
