I hope this works. I have a toro LEV120 1951bc. It is 7 years old. I do not get any spark. I have changed the plug checked the safety switch. also appears that the brake switch under the flywheel is working. grounded when lever is in the off position... It appears as though it can only be the coil. I am just looking for an expert to say "thats it" than i will go get one. Or is there any ideas. Do coils go? It worked last weekend and than I went to start it and got nothing....

Disconnect the ground wire from the coil and check for spark. If you still have no spark then it is a safe assumption that the coil is bad.

If you have spark with the ground disconnected then the wire is shorted or or switch is not working.

I did the ground wire disconnect . Still no spark. I am going to change out the coil as soon as I find one locally.
