Can somebody help me with this?
I have a Craftsman Model 917.259551 with a CV15S Kohler Command Engie.
I am not getting a charge to the battery.
The battery is new.
All connections are clean
I have tested the stator it is putting out 14.3 volts.
I have followed the wiring harness to where the stator wires plug into a connector.
I have 14.3 volt through the connector.
I traced the wiring to the next connector. I have 14.3 volts going into the connector but only battery voltage coming out (12.6 volts).
The ampmeter shows discharge and the battery isn't getting charged.
I find no rectifier on the machine an Sears don't show one in their parts list.
I don't want to tear the harness apart to trace the wires further.
How do I troubleshoot it further?

Well, it sounds like you found where your problem is already. Apparently the connector where you found 14.3 volts going in one side, but only 12.6 on the other is where you have a bad connection.
