My Power632 is fully operational with all sensors/detectors being wireless - no problems! I am now in the process of completing the addition of a GS3060 to my system. It is fully wired except for the input wiring (COM, Z1 and Z2).
Figure 2 of the GS3060 manual only shows connections to the GS3060 inputs (COM, Z1-Z4) with comment that "Inputs to be connected to dry contact outputs from alarm control panel." My Power632 only has PGM1 and PGM2 available, so I would like to connect between Z1 on the GS3060 and PGM1 on the Power632; similarly, Z2 and PGM2. What are the "dry contact outputs" on the Power632? Does COM on the GS3060 connect to AUX- on the Power632 to create the "dry contacts" at PGM1 and PGM2? I see nothing in the DSC manuals that covers this type of connection.
Can someone clearly explain how to wire these connections, if it requires something other than just the wires? Do I actually require this wiring for proper transmission of alarm data to central monitoring via GSM?
If this wiring is required, or recommended, I'm planning on using (09) option on PGM1 and (10) option on PGM2. Any problems with this? Any other programming required.
It appears that data for transmission via the GS3060 to the monitoring station can only come via PGM1 and PGM2 on the Power632 and, if there is no interconnection of these points with the inputs on the GS3060, there can be no communication of the data from the Power632 to the GS3060 for transmission via GSM. Is this correct?
I know there are knowledgeable DIYers out there that can answer my questions with ease.
Thanks in advance for your help!

I'm assuming you already have Central Station and GSM Carrier........Forget about dry contacts and triggers. The GSM Radios work through phone line connections. When there's no phone line present, it simulates a phone line to the alarm panel, basically forwards the transmission to the central station through the GSM Network. Your GSM dealer can actually set up the radio for you.

Wow! That was certainly a quick response to my inquiry.
To confirm, the data that is to be transmitted to the monitoring office is normally sent via landline. If the landline fails, the radio transmits the same data to the monitoring where the data from the alarm panel is transmitted to the radio via the telephone lines within the alarm and radio panels, and then sent via the radio to the monitoring office. This makes the PGM connections from the Power632 to the GS3060 completely unnecessary and perhaps counterproductive.
It would have been nice had the GS3060 manual contained a description of the workings of the GS3060 as you have - it just makes the workings of the GS3060 a lot more understandable and user friendly.
Are there any conditions where it would be desirable to make the interconnections between the PGM's on the Power632 and the Zones on the GS3060?
Yes, I am connected to a monitoring office and I am about to place the radio on line with the same facility.
Much appreciation for your prompt response and assistance.

only transmits contact ID format
make sure your C/S is capable of this
do they know what your doing? your plans?

My system is, and has been, communicating in Contact ID. My C/S is set up to handle GS3060.'s. I will activate the GS3060 in the near future.
Thanks for your inputs.
