Had the above unit installed last April. Heater ran well all winter and heat pump worked well as AC last summer and as a heat pump this winter. Two weekends ago when temp spiked we turned on ac. Unit extremely noisy and seemed to be whirring // running unevenly. It did cool the house and shut off and on normally but the noise sounded like an electric razor on steroids. It is the latitude heat pump. Any thoughts?

The heating and air company said they will work with me?? What ever that means

It sounds like the installing company is willing to look at it, which I would let them do, being its just a year old. By "working with you" I presume they mean that although its barely outside of the one year labor warranty, they sound like they're willing to be flexible about any charges.
