I have 3ea, 3'x4' cement boards about 3/8" thick. Need to cut, I have sawsall with carbide blade, will this work? Was thinking C clamp furring strips for straight cut? Trying not to buy a $25 circular blade for 3 cuts only.
Thanks,:coffee:

It will work, just kiss your blade before you begin your cuts. It will be worthless for anything beyond these cuts.

you can also score it with a utility knife and break it. Takes a little bit of work but can be done.

Thanks for input,, i tried heavier knife on 1/2" cement board, cut/break, much better. Does it matter which side of board faces out? One side pretty smooth other has kind of knit or fine web surface? thinking of finishing with ceramic wall tiles? Is it better to pre-drill for durock wood screws? (1-1/4" screws on 1/2" c board)

I put the grainier side out, sticker in. I would also use the 1 5/8" backer screws on the 1/2". No need to countersink, as their heads dig in as you slam them. Good luck with the project!!
