Hello,
Me and my husband (first time painters) are beginning to re-do the bedroom.
Last night we painted one wall a dark chocolate brown. We didn't notice until later that some spots still showed through the old light-beige color. Instead of getting everything back together I thought we could patch-paint the thin areas as I did the same with an alternate wall before and it turned out great.
It's been less then an hour and the parts I went over look very light and noticable compared to the rest of the paint. is that because it hasn't fdried enough to darken yet, or is it because we really have to re-do the whole wall to get this to go away?
Thanks!

Dark colors usually have worse one coat coverage than lighter shades, with the reds generally being the worst overall. The more coats, the more even the surface will look. I'd apply another coat to the entire wall and reevaluate after that.
Incidentally, what kind of paint are you using?

Acrylic, brand is Beauty Tone.
We're going to apply another coat. On the other hand the other walls turned out great :)

I've never heard of that brand:o
Generally dark colors don't touch up well. I agree with Mitch that another coat of paint would be best.

Maybe it's a Canadian brand, hehe.
Another q... I noticed after it dried, my beige colored wall did not have paint going all the way to the edge of the ceiling, would using a tiny brush and just going along the edge be the best bet to touch up? Thanks!

Did you cut the wall in when you rolled? How tiny of a brush are you wanting to use? compared to the amount of unpainted wall
Hopefully you can take a brush and paint the unpainted areas and have it blend in... if not, you may need to repaint the wall:wall:
