Gardening and Horticulture - Confederate Jasmine

Last year, I found three plants for a dollar each. They were pot bound and the vines were tightly tangled in a 3 foot wad. I planted them and they didn't grow much but the leaves looked much better when I got them in the ground. The leaves dropped off over the winter and only a little green survived. I expected them to green out by now but they are now a tightly tangled wad of vines without leaves. Should I cut back the stems or just leave them and see what happens. We didn't have much of a cold winter so I thought they would survive. I'm in the Knoxville area - zone 7 b, I think. Thank you.

Wow, sounds like a great bargain. Your confederate jasmine is borderline hardy where you are, so you may have some winter dieback. Trim off any dead stems. Here's info on how to care for them.
