I just purchased a new home. The owner left us no materials on the alarm. I just want to get the mastercode and change it so I can actually turn the alarm on. Is there anything I can do? I did try and power the system down from the box >>>then turn it back on>>press * and #. The only thing I got from that was the alarm went off! Help !!

You have to remove both AC _and_ battery power, then press * +# _within_ 50 seconds of restoring AC power.

Do you have an installer manual?
