I was looking at some new construction windows today and found what I thought were the size for my house. I figured I have 3-0 x 4-6 but when I got home I measured and it looks more like 2-10 x 4-8. I measured the inside casement at 34" x 58" to get that measurement.
At what points do they measure new construction windows to list the size?
Note: Yes, I'm using new construction. It's for a addition and I'd like the windows to match up fairly well.

Morania,
Exactly WHAT are you measuring??
A 3-0 x 4-6 window is one that will fit in a rough opening of 3-0 x 4-6.
When you measured the inside of the casement, you are not allowing for the frame. You need a 3-0 x 5-0 window to match what you have.
