I plan to put new Congoleum sheet vinyl in kitchen and had to replace some on the 1/4 inch Laun which was on top of the 3/4inch plywood base. I have about 1/8" gaps between the new and old plywood. What can I use to fill these gaps? Also the floor squeeked in places and I used decking screws to secure the plywood to the beams. These screws are counter sunk. What can I use to fill the depressions?

Thanks

Ron

A cement based product such as Ardex is the only product to use. Stay away from the plaster based products. It has been found that not only do they shrink too much, but the plaster products will in time crumble due to floor traffic. Be sure to give the leveler time to dry completely. Moisture can cause problems with luan and other underlays causing swelling at the seams, and telegraphing through the vinyl.

Rich, would you use the Ardex SD-P or another Ardex product
