I tried to replace a wireless 5186 contact for the sliding door and ended up removing everyting. The keypad does not display any Letters and the instruction manual is no help. I tried several times with no luck to program a new wireless contact. I have one hard wired contact (garage door), one motion sensor (wireless), 2 wireless contacts (front door, rear slider) and a smoke detector. I need help lol....
I don't know how to enter the zones and serial numbers properly. It keeps flashing numbers that I don't know what they mean... Thanks in advance.

You need an alpha keypad--6139 or 6160

Yea the more and more I do searches on this issue, it is all coming back to buying a new keypad. Are there other options other then buying a new keypad... I think I have an ADemco alpha keypad in another house... Can I swap just to program, than swap back?

Yes, you can. The programming keypad doesn't have to be permanent. That's how installers deal with these configurations; we keep an used alpha keypad in our tool stash.
Depending on the system you borrow it from, you may have to reset the keypad address to 31. Just make note of what it was set to on the "donor" system.
