I recently bought a home with this alarm system installed and it is not monitored. I have no information or codes for the system. It started beeping a week or so ago and I was told it needed a new battery so I unplugged the battery and the system until I could get a battery. I bought the battery and installed it last nite and the system is still beeping with new battery installed and system plugged in. Only code is a 13 for motion in the home and the system shows green light ready and the LCD screen shows solid AC and ready but batt. is still flashing. What should I do next?

Safewatch Pro, Safewatch Pro 2000 or Safewatch Pro 3000?

Some of the answers vary depending on which (the correct model number is on the wiring diagram on the system box door.)

A battery replacement can take up to 24 hours to register. The system only retests the battery once per day, and the time is essentially random.
