I have a JD mower with a b/s 6.5 intek engine. The mower starts strong, but dies a few seconds after. If I pump the primer, It wil keep going. I tried running it with the gas cap off, and also cleaning out the carb. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Sounds like there is still a carb restriction...probably a clogged hole in the bowl screw.
