Hello Everyone, Great forum!
Anyhow...I've ordered and received a 6160RF keypad to replace the existing RF Keypad on my new home. The panel is a Vista 10se.
I have no idea what the model number is for the keypad, but terminology-wise I can say definatively that its an RF Fixed English Keypad (wired to the panel) which looks just like the 6150RF (12 digits and 4 function keys).
I've also confirmed that the wireless aspect of the keypad is fully operational and needed as there is no other RF module connected to the panel.
There are no wireless keyfobs in the system and there are 16 wireless zones programmed.
Everything I've been able to glean from this forum indicates that switching the keypads shouldn't require any configuration by me; simply swap the 4 wires for power/data. Am I missing anything that I may not have considered?

That's all I "had" to do.
Once I had done those steps I found there were additional steps I wanted to take, for example, I programmed alpha names for my zones and I changed the zone type programming. For these additional functions you'll need the installer code (but you shouldn't need it to do just the keypad swap).
Good luck and have fun.

Power down the keypad.
Press and hold down the 1 & 3 key within 60 seconds of powering it up and it will show you its address. If it is not 31 then you need to change it.
That keypad also has a more advanced programming section but I dont think you will need to change that.
First check the address.

Sure enough, I had to readdress it to 31. Luckily my braincells remember enough references to the magic #31 that I stumbled on the solution. Setting up the Alpha names for zones was quite easy.
It turns out the keypad I replaced was a 6150RF.
Thank you everyone
