:wall: I am beating my head on the wall, we have an ignition for a mercury motor. We have removed the guts, and taken off the handle cover, and still have not been able to sepperate the two parts. There seams to be a "button" on the handle, and it just keeps turning, and when I press it I get NO WHERE. I have ALL the bolts and screws removed, and even have the alen screw out..... WHY won't this thing come apart??? Please help...and THANKS SO MUCH in advance!!!

What year and size motor is it and are you talking about a distributer or the actual key switch?
