Outdoor Power Equipment and Small Engines - What to sell it for DTY4000

I am going to sell this mower since it is too big for my yard and need some suggestions as to how much I should ask for it. I couldn't find one on ebay. I was thinking $600.
It is a:
Craftsman DYT4000 - 917.273649 sn 052104C002786
B&S 18.5 Intek plus
Hydrostat transaxle Peerless H2000-006a Silent-Trac
42" deck
It has 76 hours on the meter, it's like new.
I just realized the deck isn't on it in the pictures but it has a deck.
Any suggestions would be appreciated, I'm in the Midwest/St. Louis area. Have a good one. Geo

From what I could find, this appears to be about a 2005 or 2006. I did a quick google search for "DYT4000" and found some craigslist listings in various parts of the country listing this model for $1200-$1500. The 2 price guides that I have also have the average price, in good condition, at $1500. It is spring and tractor buying season. I would list it for $950 and go down from there. You may end up getting an offer for $800, $200 more than your $600. If you do want to list it for $600 be FIRM on that price. $600 is a great price for that tractor. Don't go any lowre than that.

I agree... $600 is a bit cheap for that mower if it's all in good shape and ready to roll. I agree with the $950 asking price.

Geo....I'll give ya $1000..but you have to hang out with my inlaws in Arnold for 2 hrs. Thats worth an extra $400..as long as I'm not there...lol.

I really appreciate the feedback from everyone and I obviously did not ask enough for the mower. A friend of a neighbor(neighbor owns a lawn service) called and said he heard I had a mower for sale and would like to see it. He came by, I opened the garage door where the mower was and he handed me the money, I hadn't even started it yet, obviously the neighbor had told him about the mower.

At least it was a quick sale with no haggleing. Now it's gone and you have room & money for your next project or to buy a smaller tractor that fits your yard better.
