Hey all, my a/c guy tells me that my a/c is not working because my furnace motor is bad. Motor is a "ge 5kcp39 hg"
1075 rpm
60hz
115v
1/3 hp
6.1a
He tells me my furnace a Lennox c23-41-10d is old and the motor will be impossible to get, but he will try. He tells me Furnace replacement might be only option
Any takers?:madhell:

He should be able to find a replacement motor its not that hard to do. Or you could remove the motor and take to a supply house like Graingers and match it up.

If there's still a tag on the motor, get the frame size, too. All the specs you list are standard. Check the belt while ur in there.
No tag? Yank the motor and bring it with you to Graingers or a heating/cooling supply house.
You might look for another AC guy, too. He sounds like a newbie...

Grainger Industrial Supply (http://www.grainger.com) shows 20 GE motors with the HG designator go to the motor section and match all the tag info to the listings to narrow it down the frame matching is a start then the RPMs and amps check these guys out HVAC Motors (http://bestbuyheatingandairconditioning.com/motors.htm)
